|Academy – Day 1: Client Management||1.1: Data Input|
Review the options for inputting client and account data into Morningstar Office, from manual entry to importing data from custodians. Also, learn how to save and edit key client profile information.
Billing Get a step-by-step tutorial on the billing process—from setting up management fees to creating billing summaries and fee files for distribution to clients and custodians.
|Academy – Day 2: Reports||2.1: Reporting Basics|
Take a look at the practice-level, client-level, and account-level reports available within Morningstar Office. Learn how to generate reports from each area and review elements of the reports in detail.
2.2: Archiving and Batch Reporting
Learn how to archive reports and how to upload external documents into Morningstar Office. We will also simultaneously generate multiple reports for a number of clients using the batch reporting tool.
|Academy – Day 3: Client Relationship Management Tools||3.1: Notes, Tasks, and Workflow|
Learn how to keep your practice organized and keep records of your client communication by using integrated CRM functions such as Notes Manager, Task Manager, and Workflow.
3.2: Client Web Portal and Activities Center
Receive a tutorial on how to set up your Client Web Portal, post documents for clients to retrieve, and use the Activities features such as email and calendar.
|Academy – Day 4: Research||4.1: Search|
Learn the different methods of searching for investments, how to use several different investment graphs, and how to generate detailed reports for specific securities.
Learn how to create, edit, and apply investment lists, model portfolios, and custom benchmarks throughout Morningstar Office’s various product sections.
|Morningstar Office Advanced Classes||Morningstar Office Advanced Classes explore functions for the user who has mastered the introductory sessions. Class topics will change on a quarterly basis.|

Quarter end is the time to reach out and contact your client base using the batch reporting feature. In this session, we will review the batch reporting process and discuss tips and key points related to quarter-end needs.

This 30-minute training session will cover quarter-end billing tips, tricks, and how to troubleshoot billing issues. During this session, we will review account settings, the most common types of billing inaccuracies, and how to fix billable balances.
