The Group: The Products group is the home of manufacturing and innovation at Morningstar. The individuals in this group transform our high-quality data, independent research, and technological expertise into well-designed products that delight our clients. The group`s product management, product development, and service teams collaborate with our Client Solutions group to help them provide clients with relevant products and bundled solutions.

The Role: As part of our Enterprise Data Management team, you will join a dynamic group of technology savvy individuals who provide back office services to financial institutions, advisors, and internal Morningstar customers. In this fast-paced environment, you will be multi-tasking, organizin, and prioritizing responsibilities to complete data imports and reconciliation for multiple clients. This position is based in our Oakland, Maryland office.

Responsibilities
+ Conduct day to day management of multiple data processes by prioritizing and balancing competing client objectives.
+ Load data from various custodians each day into Morningstar`s portfolio management software systems.
+ Reconcile position information back to custodian import by troubleshooting data issues, identifying solutions and resolving discrepancies.
+ Participate in quality oversight of imported data.
+ Work directly with clients to gather requirements, identify contract details, develop standard operating procedures, and establish consistent client communications for awareness of data issues.
+ Provide ideas to the development team on product enhancements or product defects as related to the importing and reconciliation process.

Requirements
+ Knowledge of financial/investment industry, accounting and/or mathematic skills is highly preferred.
+ Proactive with a strong initiative, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
+ Robust analytical and problem solving skills with detail orientation and accuracy.
+ Strong Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word skills.
+ Demonstrate self-motivation in an independent, fast-paced work environment.
+ Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
+ A college degree is preferred.
