The Team: Morningstar Asia is one of the fastest growing businesses within Morningstar, quickly expanding our business presence in the Asia-Pacific region over the past 10 years, with employees based in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and South Korea. We focus on financial data, software development, business development, client services, institutional selling, research, and editorial.

The Role: The Morningstar editorial group seeks an Editor to join its team. The Editor will need to manage content and operations for Morningstar Asia`s websites, including translating, proofreading, and formatting editorial content for Morningstar`s numerous web-based and print publications, as well as publishing content to the Morningstar Asia websites. This role involves managing a multiple-project, high-volume document workflow under strict deadlines. This position is based in our Hong Kong office.

Responsibilities
+ Be responsible for contents of Morningstar Asia websites (Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia).
+ Translate financial content, including but not limited to articles, internal research materials, and news from English to Chinese and vice versa.
+ Work individually and collaboratively in a team environment under tight deadlines, editing financial and investment-oriented materials.
+ Use a web-publishing system and make sure all copy meets Morningstar`s style standards.
+ Edit for a clear and consistent thought flow in well-structured English for both spelling and punctuation.

Requirements
+ Excellent English and Chinese writing skills, especially proficient in English.
+ Computer literacy in MS applications including Chinese word processing is essential.
+ An interest in and knowledge of business, investing, and capital markets.
+ A well-developed vocabulary, meticulous editing skills, and precise, creative writing abilities that promote clarity and consistency and adhere to technical protocol.
+ Well-developed project management skills and the ability to proactively assume project ownership.
+ 2-3 years of previous experience, preferably with HTML, Adobe Acrobat, and other web-based publishing systems.
+ A proactive, motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
+ Flexibility is a must, given that your responsibilities will require occasional night and weekend work.
+ A bachelor`s degree; majors in translation, communication, linguistics or related disciplines preferred.
