The Team: Morningstar`s Software Division is responsible for developing and delivering our core technology platforms and related services for institutions, financial advisors, and individuals. Key products include Morningstar Direct, a global research platform for institutions; Morningstar Advisor Workstation/Morningstar Office, a complete portfolio management and investment planning platform for financial advisors; and Morningstar.com, an investment website with research, data, and tools for individual investors. We also craft custom technology and data management solutions for financial enterprises seeking unique capabilities or deployments.

Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with leaders in the Software Division to align human resource initiatives with the business strategy. Specifically, partnering directly with the shared services organization within the Software Division which includes technology and design.
+ Recruit and retain the best and the brightest employees.
+ Evaluate the effectiveness of the organizational structure to make sure it can effectively support both short- and long-term business goals.
+ Advise managers and employees on employee relations concerns, while acting as a resource to guide employees on policy and procedure.
+ Manage compensation processes, including bonuses, equity grants, and salary increases.
+ Devise training and development programs for employees that grow skill sets and align with the long-term direction of the business.
+ Foster a great work environment that allows employees to do their best.
Requirements
+ Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems on a strategic level.
+ Able to earn senior managers` confidence and be relied upon as a trusted team member by senior managers and employees; able to build strong relationships.
+ Proven hands on approach. Ability to work collaboratively and on an independent basis.
+ Successful track record managing multiple projects concurrently.
+ Bachelor`s degree is required. A master`s degree or professional HR qualification would be useful.
+ 4-7 years of experience in human resources with a software/technology organization or other related field.
