We focus on financial data, software development, business development, client services, institutional selling, research, and editorial.

The Role: Morningstar Asia is looking for a Data Solution Manager who can coordinate strategy, develop, implement and support Morningstar Asia`s licensed data solutions. The role holder needs to ensure that our product lines are meeting market needs and take a long-term approach to continuing to grow the business. This individual will work not only internally with product and sales teams but also externally directly with clients, prospects, and the financial services marketplace. The role will have a primary focus on the Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan markets but will also include a global focus by working closely with the technical team in London and other peers around Europe and Asia. This position is based in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities
+ Work closely with external clients to ensure timely production, quality assurance, and the delivery of implementation projects to the clients` satisfaction.
+ Interact with clients to understand their needs and coordinate the process of evolving our solutions to make sure our product lines fit.
+ Develop and implement custom data deliveries based on client needs.
+ Provide feedback and user insights for product managers for continuous product improvement.
+ Own and resolve data, functional, and technical issues as well as gain thorough knowledge of regulatory issues that directly affect Asian companies.
+ Use your innovative approach to contribute to the business in ways that range from communicating client feedback to product managers, liaising with data and sales colleagues, and liaising with data contributors, all the while contributing to changing and enhancing processes.
+ Develop and expand our internal and external knowledge base relating to equity data, track client interactions via our client management systems, and actively participate in team meetings.

Requirements
+ The ideal candidate will have past experience in licensed data applications for the financial services market.
+ Strong technical skills including programming, web-based applications, databases, and general understanding of data delivery mechanisms.
+ The ability to work independently and must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Background in sales training or software application training is preferred.
+ Proficiency in languages in both English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
+ Knowledge of the financial/investment industry.
+ Experience providing technical support, sales support and/or software product training.
+ Experience working across multi-national markets is a plus.
