The Team: The corporate business group consists of a variety of departments including accounting, finance, corporate communications, legal, compliance, design, marketing, human resources, corporate sales, and corporate IT. These functions play an essential role in supporting the operations and strategic initiatives of Morningstar`s four business divisions.
The Role: The corporate business group is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience for a career in human resources. This role requires approximately 40 hours during the summer and 20-25 hours per week during the school year. This position is based in our Chicago office.
+ Assist the human resources consultants with a variety of projects in recruiting, training, employee communications, new hire orientation, event coordination, and other areas as needed.
+ Conduct candidate screening, coordinate interview schedules, and administer recruiting processes.
+ Maintain and update HR information systems and reports.
+ Coordinate division-based training programs, and update and maintain all training materials.
+ Enrolled in a bachelor`s degree program, preferably majoring in human resources.
+ Eager to learn various aspects of human resources.
+ An inquisitive, flexible personality, as well as someone detail-oriented who is focused on delivering excellent customer service.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and strong project management skills.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Excel is strongly preferred.
