The Team: The Morningstar Investment Management (MIM) division consists of three business units; Investment Advisory, Retirement Solutions, and Managed Portfolios. We use our expertise in asset allocation, manager research, and portfolio construction to create innovative investment solutions for institutions, advisors, and investors. The Investment Advisory unit builds and manages customized investment solutions and products to help differentiate our institutional clients in the marketplace. We serve clients through two registered investment advisors, Morningstar Associates and Ibbotson Associates.
The Role: In this role, you will support the Marketing Manager in delivering high-quality service to valued clients and promoting the firm`s capabilities and solutions to the marketplace through various communication efforts. This individual will effectively and efficiently develop high-quality, branded promotional and educational written and visual content through all media channels in support of division and business unit goals targeting advisors and investors. This position works closely with various functional teams: client solutions, design, compliance, and investment professionals to improve the positioning and representation of the Investment Advisory group`s services. This individual will have strong project management experience and actively monitor project schedules and uphold responsibilities to keep on deadline. This position is based in our Chicago office.
+ Employ strong project management skills including the ability to independently manage multiple projects, meet deliverable dates, prioritize and organize effectively, and pay close attention to detail.
+ Manage client marketing requests.
+ Actively lead or participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas, research content, develop and write, clear, concise, and compelling branded copy.
+ Enhance sales and investment consultant presentations.
+ Oversee the review process for various communication materials.
+ Help ensure a consistent message and tone with all marketing materials.
+ Provide content development and editorial support.
+ Maintain and update key documents and databases.
+ A minimum of a bachelor`s degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications.
+ Mutual fund/asset management experience with a focus on writing, editing, and creative development for advisor and investor audiences.
+ Solid knowledge of financial markets and distribution of financial and investment products.
+ An ability to write about complex concepts in an interesting and engaging style with a demonstrated ability to vary tone and language based on mediums, audiences, and products.
+ Superior teamwork skills and the ability to work across functional teams and all levels of the organization.
+ Mastery of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
+ Quantitative aptitude and familiarity with investment concepts.
+ Writing samples required.
