The Team: Morningstar is looking to add an Institutional Software Sales Representative to our global sales team who will be responsible for selling our Institutional product range in Brazil. We have not historically had a presence in this region, so this is an exciting opportunity to have an influential role in a new operation.
The Role: As an Institutional Software Sales Representative, you will focus on generating new business across Morningstar`s Institutional product lines in Brazil. Although you will receive some incoming leads, you will be responsible for generating the majority of new business leads on your own. Your target clients are asset managers, banks, advisory firms, and consultants. You will be the sole initial representative of Morningstar in the region, so the ability to work independently and pro-actively is crucial to this role. We`re looking for someone with hands-on initiative and the ability to build long-term client relationships. This position is based in Sao Paulo and will require travel across Brazil as well as occasional travel to the United States and Europe.
Responsibilities
+ Meet and exceed revenue goals by intelligently managing the sales territory and managing prospecting and cold-calling initiatives to secure new relationships and renew existing relationships.
+ Meet all targets including sales per month, calls, meetings, and new trials.
+ Work closely with a team of consultants who make sure clients get the most out of our products.
+ Ensure that our products meet market needs and continue to grow our business.
+ Participate in conferences and exhibitions with prospects and clients.
+ Contribute new ideas, approaches, or techniques for sales, while keeping up-to-date on relevant industry trends, technologies, and competitive product offerings.
+ Create accurate and timely reports using internal systems.
+ Manage new and existing contracts.
Requirements
+ Several years of client-facing outside sales experience within the Brazilian financial marketplace, preferably in asset management.
+ Morningstar product knowledge is desirable.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Portuguese and the ability to represent Morningstar in a professional and persuasive manner in front of clients.
+ Long-range planning, organization, and time-management skills.
+ A minimum of a bachelor`s degree or its equivalent is required.
