The Team: The Data Division is responsible for collecting and maintaining data on approximately 385,000 investment offerings, including stocks, mutual funds, and similar vehicles. Morningstar`s Commodity Data business (formerly LIM) aggregates market and fundamental data from several hundred sources for blue chip customers engaged in commodity trading and risk management. The team`s strengths lie in building creative software solutions for market data collection, organization, and distribution coupled with a suite of applications to query data at the desktop and feed it to downstream enterprise applications.
The Role: This position monitors processing activities of the data warehouse and responds to all problems that may occur to ensure accurate and timely delivery of data to internal and external databases. The intern will also monitor scripts, which perform quality control assessments on the data. The internship will start in summer 2013 and offers up to 40 hours per week during the summer and about 15-25 hours per week during the school year. This position requires no travel and is based in our Austin, Texas office.

+ Maintain and revise process documentation.
+ Control records and coding schemes to process source data.
Requirements
+ Actively pursuing a bachelor`s degree, preferably in Management Information Systems.
+ Relational database experience.
+ Excellent MS Office skills.
+ Team player.
+ Great communication skills.
+ Oracle, Java, SQL and UNIX experience is preferred.
