| | Expanding horizons
We’ve been using Morningstar’s mutual fund information for years. Several of our financial advisors began subscribing to Morningstar’s stock research on their own and encouraged the firm to take a closer look. We were seeking more expansive coverage internationally because we believe our clients should have more international exposure in their portfolios.

We get information from Morningstar on a timely basis—and it’s independent. Independence is 150% important to me. It’s also important to us that Morningstar’s recommendations are different from other sources. Its valuation rationale is clear and logical, and the reports are written in a user-friendly way without a lot of abbreviations or analyst jargon.
Sound recommendations in less time
We also have access to Morningstar’s real-money Tortoise and Hare portfolios, made up of 30 or so stocks and actively managed by Morningstar equity strategists. Our brokers use these portfolios as idea generators with our clients. | |  | | | Direct answers from analysts
The Morningstar equity strategists and stock analysts have made themselves readily available to us. There’s also a liaison desk to call if we have questions. Since we started subscribing to Morningstar Equity Research, I’ve felt a real commitment to service and to making us happy. | | |
