| | | Are you a problem solver? Analytical thinker? Solution initiator? Then we have the job opportunity for you. The Morningstar Development Program is a career development program for entry-level college graduates. It’s designed for students with interests in technology, investment analysis, and business. This development program offers you the opportunity to work in our Advisor Software, Data, Research, and/or International business units. After your two-year tour is complete, the experience, skills, and interests you’ve gained from completing the development program will determine your subsequent positions.
Upon acceptance into the Morningstar Development Program, you’ll be able to explore opportunities as an Account Executive, Data Analyst, Product Consultant, Investment Analyst, or Developer. Each of these roles provides unique opportunities for mastering the key aspects of our business—from in-depth analysis of financial information to customer interaction.

Our program’s advisor will help you identify your continuing education needs, as well as develop your career goals. The program features special projects, roundtables, and presentations designed to help you succeed. You will learn investment concepts and acquire entrepreneurial skills to build upon and use every day in your new Morningstar career. Past participants have transitioned into roles in investment analysis, client relationship management, and project management, just to name a few.
Morningstar is highly selective so candidates should have an outstanding academic record and superlative communication skills. You should have an interest in investing, but we value non-business and business majors equally. In Fall 2010, we will be conducting on-campus recruiting activities at colleges and universities across the United States.
All candidates must have a minimum of a 3.4 cumulative GPA in order to qualify for the Morningstar Development Program.
