Morningstar Development Program – European University Students
The Morningstar Development Program is a career development program for entry-level university graduates. It’s designed to make the most of your talents, offer you engaging challenges, give you the means to succeed, and reward you when you achieve your goals.

After an initial training program, you will be exposed to customised career tracks designed for students with interests in technology, investment analysis, and general business. You will have the opportunity to work throughout a variety of departments both domestically and internationally. Each of these groups provides unique opportunities for mastering the key aspects of our business—from in-depth analysis of financial information to interaction with our customers. After your tour is complete, the experience and skills you’ve gained and your interests will determine your subsequent positions.

Program opportunities for your first year include:
  • Product Consultant
  • Fund Data Analyst

To foster your success in the program, we will help you identify continuing education needs and develop career goals. The program features special projects, roundtables, and presentations designed to help you succeed. You will learn investment concepts and acquire entrepreneurial skills to build upon and use everyday in your Morningstar career. In the program rotations, you’ll be an integral part of our day-to-day operations, learn about Morningstar’s international businesses, and gain a thorough understanding of international capital markets. Past participants have transitioned into roles in areas such as investment analysis, client relationship management, and project management.

Morningstar is highly selective, so candidates should have an outstanding academic record and superlative communication skills. Fluency in multiple European languages is desired. We value both creativity and analytical ability; a varied, interesting background is a great way to catch our eye. You should have an interest in investing, but we value non-business and business majors equally. Finally, you’ll be asked to tackle many different roles during the program, so an adaptable nature and an appreciation of variety are required. Program participants enjoy the same competitive salaries, benefits, and other perks as all Morningstar employees. Applications are now closed for the 2011 Morningstar Development Program. We will begin reviewing applications in November for the summer 2012 Graduate Program.

Morningstar is an equal opportunity employer.
