Lincoln Financial Group Selects Morningstar ClearFuture as Retirement Advice and Guidance Resource for Clients of Lincoln Alliance Program
CHICAGO, Jan 16, 2003 – Lincoln Financial Group's world-class retirement program, Lincoln AllianceSM Program, now offers access to Morningstar® ClearFuture® for online retirement planning assistance. Morningstar® ClearFuture® will offer plan sponsors a resource for their employees to better understand and optimize the benefits provided in their retirement plan. The Lincoln Alliance Program provides turnkey solutions for employer retirement and employee benefit programs, including investment choices, recordkeeping, plan design, compliance, and employee retirement counseling and education. 

As a standard feature of the Lincoln Alliance Program, plan sponsors will have access to the research, education, and guidance modules of Morningstar® ClearFuture®, a comprehensive online retirement planning service. These planning modules are fully integrated with Lincoln Alliance Program's recordkeeping and administrative services, providing seamless access to plan features and account information.

In addition, plan sponsors can elect to offer the Morningstar ClearFuture online investment advice service. This feature is available on a plan-by-plan basis to those clients who wish to make specific investment  recommendations available to their employee participants.

Morningstar ClearFuture, currently available to more than five million participants through more than 37,000 corporate retirement plans throughout the United States, is an online investment education, research, guidance and advice service for all levels of investors.

Morningstar ClearFuture employs a goals-based approach to allow participants to examine the relationships among long- and short-term risk, asset mix and retirement income. Combining detailed information from the participant and based on investment options vailable in the participant's retirement plan, ClearFuture can be used to provide general asset-allocation suggestions, or if the advice module is elected, fund-specific recommendations. ClearFuture offers personalized goal planning, retirement income analysis and an innovative "bear market simulator" to test risk tolerance. The Lincoln Alliance Program provides access to ClearFuture through www.LincolnAlliance.com to participants in defined contribution plans, such as 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) plans.
