The Team: The Data division is responsible for collecting and maintaining data on more than 380,000 investment offerings, including stocks, mutual funds, and similar vehicles along with real-time global market data on more than 8 million equities, indexes, futures, options, commodities, and precious metals, in addition to foreign exchange and Treasury markets. We also provide institutional clients with investment data solutions such as Morningstar Data, one of Morningstar`s largest business lines.
The Role: Morningstar`s Real-Time Data offers real-time data for more than 5 million global instruments including equities, futures, options, commodities, and precious metals on every major exchange world wide. Brokerage firms, banks and other institutions power their systems with our tailored data feeds or monitor relevant trading movements using our market data application. The Customer Service Executive will work on our dynamic global support team. This position is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities
+ Make sure our clients can understand and program to API and IP Feed specifications.
+ Provide support for any issues that arise either before or after the go-live period.
+ Deliver outstanding customer service by responding to and efficiently resolving client issues and requests.
+ Assist in software testing of new releases, proactively escalating any issues.
+ Help customers with installation, including setting up new systems/hardware and promptly installing updates.
+ Document all updates and changes, for internal and customer notifications.
+ Correct any data errors.
+ Perform "remote hands" operations and network tasks at client sites.
+ Give pre-sales support and assistance in sales meetings.
Requirements
+ One to three years of experience in a financial services setting.
+ Excellent written and oral communication, plus excellent interpersonal skills.
+ Sound client service skills with a proactive and creative approach.
+ Proven ability to work in a demanding environment.
+ Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Windows operating systems and PC hardware, as well as a broad understanding of IP communications and technologies.
+ Bachelor`s degree or similar qualification in a technical discipline.
