The Team: The Data division is responsible for collecting and maintaining data on more than 380,000 investment offerings, including stocks, mutual funds, and similar vehicles along with real-time global market data on more than 8 million equities, indexes, futures, options, commodities, and precious metals, in addition to foreign exchange and Treasury markets. We also provide institutional clients with investment data solutions such as Morningstar Data, one of the Morningstar`s largest business lines.

The Role: In this role, you will join a team of data analysts committed to delivering accurate, timely, and complete investment data for a variety of investment vehicles on the Canadian mutual funds market. This position works closely with internal product and sales teams as well as manages relationships with as fund managers, administrators, transfer agents, and other data providers. You will learn the nuances of investment products, performance reporting, and portfolio analysis and will be an expert in answering data questions from colleagues and clients. This position is based in our Toronto office.

Responsibilities
+ Own the data collection processes and identify areas for process improvements, such as streamlining the reporting process and providing training options.
+ Identify new managers and recruit to Morningstar`s databases, as needed.
+ Investigate and resolve data issues in a timely manner.
+ Coordinate support of sales, products, and client service teams in responding to inquiries.
+ Coordinate shared processes and projects with cross-functional, global teams located in North America, Europe, and Asia.
+ Research and develop new data types to be collected and provided to products.

Requirements
+ One to three years of experience in a financial services setting.
+ Proven analytical ability through academic or professional experience.
+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
+ Genuine interest in investing.
+ Immediately available to work in a full-time position.
+ A bachelor`s degree with exceptional academic record.
