The Team: Already very strong in the United States, the activity of investment advice is in full development in Europe and in Asia. Morningstar has 120 investment consultants based in US, Europe and Asia. In France, the team (8 persons) currently focuses on institutional investors. Our missions concern different subjects: helping manage of portfolios, investment solutions in management of risk, selection of hedge funds, audit of portfolio, Solvency 2, and more.

The Role: You`ll report to the manager of the French consulting team and you will take care of consulting our customers in their investment objectives. You will need to be able to work independently and it will be essential to communicate and educate our customers to assist them in realizing their investment objectives. As senior member of the French consulting team, you will also be involved in the various solutions provided to our clients. This position is based in our Paris office.

Responsibilities
+ Advise our customers in the management of their portfolio or a specific pocket: follow-up on performance and risk, analyze the underlying elements in portfolios, produce reports, and provide recommendations regarding arbitration.
+ Provide qualitative and quantitative analyses of investment funds that use various strategies, among which will be alternative strategies.
+ Analyze and diagnose the customers` portfolios, which will include analysis of the composition of the portfolio, detailed analysis of the risks, and understanding the allocation of assets with the goals and the constraints of the customer. You should then be able to propose an optimal allocation of assets, recommend changes on the process of investment, and so on.
+ Set up and present customers` committees: macro and markets, to display our analyses and our recommendations.
+ Participate in the development of our solutions and tools with the consultants team in Europe or in the U.S. This will include tools of allocation of assets, quantitative analyses of funds or portfolios, investment solutions in management of risk, and index of markets, just to name a few.

Requirements
+ A minimum of seven years of experience in asset allocation.
+ Quantitative skills are required.
+ A detail-oriented problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to work with clients who have sophisticated investment knowledge, and others for which the pedagogy will be a key element.
+ Fluent in French and English.
+ Able to work within a small local team and to leverage on a larger global team.
+ A bachelor`s degree with an exceptional academic record is required; a CFA or equivalent is strongly preferred.
