The Team: The UK Finance team is responsible for the performance reporting and financial controls of all of Morningstar`s business operations within the UK. The team is tasked with invoicing our clients, paying our staff and suppliers, implementing controls, reporting on business performance and producing financial reporting consistent with US GAAP.
The Role: Morningstar UK`s Finance team seeks an enthusiastic and results-driven Accounts Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment for a fixed term period. This role involves preparation and distribution of sales invoices and related debtors collection activity, management of bank accounts and other accounting support to the financial accountant. This position is offered on a fixed-term basis and will be based in our London office.
+ Prepare, review, and distribute sales invoices.
+ Deal with client sales invoice queries.
+ Contact clients via e-mail or phone to arrange payment of invoices.
+ Participate in monthly staff meetings to deal with overdue client debts.
+ Liase with compliance group to ensure all exchange activities invoiced.
+ Support other projects and tasks for the U.K. Finance team.
+ Assist in processing accounts payable transactions for our Real-Time Data services.
+ Assist the Accountants in month-end activity relating to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
+ Some accounting experience in a fast-paced accounting environment.
+ Some credit control experience with direct client contact.
+ Superb organizational, multi-tasking, and verbal/written communication skills.
+ Proven ability to explain and resolve issues.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as accounting software and new software systems.
+ Part-qualified or relevant experience is required.
