The Team: Morningstar has provided independent investment research in Canada since 1999. We offer a broad range of products and services for individual investors, advisors, and institutional fund managers including; software, investment analysis and consulting services, fund performance evaluation and pension plan governance. In addition, we operate Morningstar’s investor website which has approximately 120,000 unique visitors per month.
The Role: We seek a driven, creative individual with excellent technical presentation and interpersonal skills, and experience in or serving large financial institutions. In this role, you will manage all aspects related to training for Morningstar Advisor products, including but not limited to PALTrak, Advisor Workstation, Hypothetical Illustrator, Portfolio Builder and our CPMS suite of products. You will compose training manuals, schedule and conduct webinars, lead in-person training and create training videos.
+ Create and update training materials and concepts to expand trainings.
+ Deliver client training presentations either in person or via the web.
+ Produce reusable product training materials.
+ Create training videos in Adobe Captivate and deliver them to our virtual training center via an in-house content management system.
+ Establish training schedules and effective methods to encourage participation.
+ Develop ongoing strategy to deliver increased use of Morningstar products with current and potential clients.
+ Plan monthly web training sessions.
+ Conduct internal training for each application release.
+ Deliver training for all new internal Advisor Software hires.
+ Work with the product management and sales teams to ensure training coverage across all products and within all major Morningstar accounts.
+ Minimum 3 years of field training experience in software products.
+ Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
+ Proactive, well-organized, personable, and articulate individual.
+ Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Captivate, and Webex (or other webinar software).
+ Ability to multi-task.
+ Proven aptitude for or knowledge of investing/investment funds.
+ Experience in or serving large financial institutions.
+ University degree required; financial specialization and/or working towards a CFA or CFP designation desired.
+ Additional language skills would be an asset.
