The Role: Morningstar is seeking a .NET Developer. In this role, you will be working on the technical design, development, implementation, integration, and testing of software applications, including Web Applications, WCF Services, and SQL database integration using Entity Framework and LINQ. Other duties include supporting and maintaining existing applications. This position is based in our Chicago office.

Responsibilities
+ Use extensive system and software development skills to design, develop, implement, test, document, and deliver software solutions that will be used on our platforms by financial advisors, account holders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders and customers.
+ Design and develop new features using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, JQuery, and MS SQL Server.
+ Contribute to the full life cycle software development and deployment standards.
+ Participate in Agile development methodologies and stand up meetings.
+ Provide support and maintenance of existing software systems

Requirements
+ A minimum of 3 years of experience of hands-on full life cycle application development.
+ Strong communication skills (must be an active participant in group discussions and stand ups).
+ Expert level .NET skills (C#/ASP.NET).
+ Experience with ASP.NET Entity Framework and LINQ technologies.
+ Experience with WCF communications layers.
+ Experience with Microsoft SQL database development.
+ System integration experience preferred.
+ Self-motivated, ability to work independently and efficiently.
+ A bachelor`s degree in computer science or related field.
