CHICAGO, Apr 24, 2001 Morningstar, Inc., a leading provider of investment information and analytical tools, plans to set sail in the Caribbean on its second annual Practice Management Seminar for financial advisors, Nov. 3 - 10.
"We have designed a unique excursion that combines seminars-at-sea on practice management with plentiful opportunities to enjoy the Caribbean," said Don Phillips, managing director of Morningstar and host of this year's cruise. "Our goal is to provide planners with resources that help them manage their practices more effectively. We designed the cruise itinerary to include informative discussions about industry trends and technology with some of the most influential names in the planning industry."
The cruise will depart from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. on Nov. 3, and will continue to Half Moon Bay, Bahamas; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. John and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas. In addition to Don Phillips, the program will feature thought-provoking presentations from experts including Harold Evensky, principal of Evensky, Brown and Katz; Deena Katz, partner of Evensky, Brown and Katz; Bob Veres, editorial consultant for MorningstarAdvisor.com; Paul Fox, vice president of Morningstar's Advisor Business Unit; and Jon Horvath, senior educational consultant for Morningstar's educational products group.
The seminar contains many timely topics, including:

The 10-day itinerary offers networking opportunities and the ability to earn continuing-education credits. Advisors may attend a power breakfast with Don Phillips to discuss the state of the advisory industry, a golf outing with Paul Fox at Mahogany Run, one of the most highly photographed courses in the Caribbean, daily networking get-togethers, and a closing reception.
