The Team: Morningstar`s Application Services team is responsible for developing and operating software services and/or products to be used by other software products inside and outside Morningstar.
The Role: We`re looking for a highly motivated and collaborative individual who will provide quality project management. The ideal candidate will thrive on challenges, have excellent problem solving skills, and enjoy communicating project issues and risks to both the project teams and management. The position is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities
+ Interact with software product teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
+ Manage projects from discovery to implementation.
+ Manage a diverse group of internal and external people to meet project goals.
+ Lead projects via effective communication, consultation, collaboration, and problem-solving.
+ Adapt appropriate project leadership style to a particular problem.
+ Set deadlines and track work, address issues and risks, and escalate when appropriate.
+ Able to prioritize projects based on strategic objectives.
+ Apply best practices so that projects are managed around standards.
+ At end of a project, work with the support team to operationalize projects.
Requirements
+ A bachelor`s degree with 3+ years of project management experience.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong organization and teamwork skills.
+ PMP or other project management certification is desirable.
+ Software development experience is a plus.
+ Knowledge of investment instruments/markets is a plus.
